Covid vaccination in Solihull

Need a Covid vaccination or booster in Solihull? The NHS programme is seasonal and usually for people at higher risk. Not sure you are eligible? We can help with the next step (NHS App, 119 or walk-in). Subject to eligibility, availability and clinical assessment.

GPhC-registered pharmacy team. NHS eligibility and availability can change between spring and autumn/winter programmes.

Am I eligible for an NHS Covid vaccination this season?

Eligibility is set by the current NHS Covid vaccination programme, so it can change seasonally.

You may be eligible in spring if you are in a higher-risk group, such as:

  • Adults aged 75 or over
  • Residents in a care home for older adults
  • People aged 6 months to 74 years with a weakened immune system (due to a health condition or treatment)

How to get your Covid vaccination

Not sure if you can get vaccinated today, or what the right route is? Call or visit us and we can help with:

  • A quick eligibility check (to avoid a wasted trip)
  • The quickest next step for you (NHS App / NHS website / 119)
  • Checking walk-in options nearby (times and accepted age groups)

If your symptoms are outside this scope, we will advise the right next step.

When to get urgent help

If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, or you are very worried about symptoms after vaccination, do not wait. If it is an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E. If it is not an emergency, you can contact NHS 111 for advice.

  1. Arrive

Come at your booked time, or during walk-in hours where offered. If you are using a walk-in site, waiting times can vary, so allow extra time.
  2. Assessment

You may be asked about your health, medications and any previous reactions to vaccines. This suitability assessment helps keep things safe. You can ask questions before you give consent.
  3. Outcome

You will receive the Covid vaccine and be told what to expect over the next few days, including common side effects (such as a sore arm, tiredness, headache or aches) and when to seek medical advice.
